You are a professional photographer and, like most of us, try to be an expert at everything. You are an expert at photography. You are an artist. Your customers come to you because of your creativity with a camera. You are able to "capture the moment."
But you have other responsibilities to attend to; accounting, marketing, maintenance, sales, sorting, ordering and meetings. Let's skip question 2 for now and go back to it in a second. First let's answer the question - "What is the best type of designing?" Basically there are two ways of approaching album design. Template design and non-template design. Most everyone considers both methods "Custom Design." Whether you agree or not, template design is not custom design. Using templates is like when we used matted albums (for those of us that can remember those days :-) ) We would take the 4x5's and 5x7's and tape them into mats (templates). The only difference now is that we do it digitally. Being human, we tend to use our favorite templates over and over. Besides, it saves time having to search for new ones. Creativity is left behind. Our goal is to help you present your bride with the most beautiful, and uniquely different, album possible. True, there are some very gifted photographers that can create very beautiful wedding albums. But they generally have huge staffs to assist them. Today, brides are impressed because they are seeing their albums with no mats. And they are happy. But as more and more template designs are being shown, brides are starting to notice that their album looks just like everyone else's.
